I hold on to standards as I don't want to make a mess of an essay. But, as i get close to finishing, I let up, as if the prospect of completion is so pleasing i want to hurry up and get there, damn the consequences.

But how? I once threw a party on the completion of a book. It was fun and i would welcome more such events. Good advice.
